Highlands Little Theatre - Haliburton, Ontario

The Highlands Little Theatre was founded by a group of theatre enthusiasts back in 1978. Our first production was Noel Coward’s "Blithe Spirit" which met with such a very positive response from the local audience that we decided to stage two productions a year. We developed our craft and went on to win several Eastern Ontario Drama League awards for acting, directing, stagecraft and set design. Several of our members have been involved in various aspects of professional theatre. Our biggest wish came true when we were able to participate in the building of the beautiful Northern Lights Performing Arts Pavilion at the High School in Haliburton. Our audiences were thrilled also - no more hard stacking chairs!

No theatre company can be successful without good backstage crew and we’re always looking for help with this. Set builders, designers, assistant stage managers, and people to help with costumes are always in demand.

And actors – no matter how much experience you have had, if you’d like to join a really fun group of people dedicated to presenting very high quality theatre here in Haliburton, then call; we’ll be happy to hear from you.

We are a not-for-profit organization. Our annual membership fee is $15 – the rewards are priceless!
